Hollywood Stars who died recently | PENNY MARSHALL | NANCY - Retro and Classic

The Stars That Hollywood Lost in Recent Times

2018 was truly a heart-wrenching year for Hollywood as it had to bid farewell to stars who had become family over the years. If it weren’t for the people who invested their life and soul into this industry, we wouldn’t be blessed with the great classics that we enjoy on our screens. The reason this industry has excelled to a stature that is revered and honored worldwide is because of the undying efforts of the Hollywood stars that left us too soon.

Here’s a tribute to all the stars who parted ways with us but will always glow brightly as relics of the past.

PENNY MARSHALL

Considered one of the elite directors in Hollywood, Penny Marshall, who bestowed us with works like the ABC sitcom Laverne & Shirley, passed away on

Dec 17, 2018. Marshall began her career in Hollywood by making her debut as an actress and then went on to produce and direct some of the gems

we hold dear to date. She honored the industry with films like Big and Awakening. She lived till the age of 75

and devoted a good part of her life to Hollywood.

NANCY WILSON

A true Hollywood fan and a music lover wouldn’t fail to recognize the voice of Nancy Wilson. She was not only a Grammy Award-winning jazz singer

but also a self-proclaimed ‘song stylist’ who gave us music that still rings in our memories. She passed away at the mature age of 81 on December 13th

and will always be remembered with the same respect and adoration as she received during her life.

STEPHEN HILLENBURG

SpongeBob SquarePants was the childhood love of every millennial who has grown up loving Hollywood. It is indeed sad news for all those even faintly related

to the industry that the cartoonist behind this animation, Stephen Hillenburg passed away on November 26th due to Lou Gehrig’s disease.

The children then and the children now will never forget the undersea fantasy world that Hillenburg has left us with.

STAN LEE

The death of Stan Lee was the hardest shock for all Marvel fans, cast and crew, and Hollywood combined. He was indeed a legend who wrote comic books

and edited and published the storyline of the grand Marvel saga. His passing away on November 12th, at the age of 95, still seemed too early for the whole

industry to accept and mourn. He alone designed and established the Marvel universe which still doesn’t fail to marvel viewers. Even though it’s never easy

to come to terms with the loss of such legendary talents in a single year, we have their memories left behind in the form of their works.

Retro And Classic Flixs is honored to continue their legacy by offering rare classic titles that celebrate them and works of other legendaries. We offer classic westerns on dvd for sale to movie collectors and fans all over the world! Explore our collection to order a classic today!
